Print Studio
The large studio is equipped with professional silkscreen printing equipment, allowing artists to produced large, high quality artwork. With a wash out area, exposure unit, print bed and drying rack you have everything you need at your finger tips to produce your work at your own pace in your own creative space.
Membership
There is a monthly membership fee of £20, whether you use the studio or not in that month. This fee helps with the general day-to-day costs of running the space to make sure everything is there waiting for you to use. Even if you have previous screenprinting experience you will need to complete a one day work shop which I run monthly. This allows you to see how the studio runs and become familiar with the studio equipment. After completeing the course your membership can start straight away, payment for your studio bookings is made online when you book your time and a quartlerly invoice is emailed for your membership fee. Location
The studio is located in Hastings on the beautiful East Sussex coast. A short walk from the town centre, mainline train station and sea front. Set within a Victorian Water Works yard, it’s surrounded with other like minded artists, makers and small businesses.
Studio facilities
Work / Wash out areas
There is a designated wash out area within the studio space. Equipped with a large stainless steel both which can hold large screens up to 110 x 145 cm. All the brushes and cleaning supplies are available to allow you to keep screens in tip-top condition.
Exposure
The studios exposure unit is fitted with a new sheet of safety glass to give a nice clean area for your screens to lay on. Taking screens up to 170 x 110 cm in size this is a monster of a unit allowing prints up to A0 in size to be produced.
The studios flat vacum bed table is all set up and ready to use, holding screen sizes up to 91 x 132 cm. Along side it a large 50 layer spring loaded drying rack to store all your fresh prints on.
